Command Sergeant Major Worley served as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major of the 891st Engineer Battalion in Iola, KS from September 29th, 2016 until March 15th, 2019.  He served as the First Sergeant of the 242nd Engineer Company in Coffeyville, Kansas for five years from June 2011 until September 2016.  CSM Worley started his military career by joining the Kansas Army National Guard (KSARNG) as a 51R, Interior Electrician in the 226th Engineer Company, Augusta, KS in September 1994.  In 1996, He attended MOSQ training in Devil’s Lake, ND as a 12B Combat Engineer and was assigned to Alpha Company 891st in Pittsburg, KS.  In 1997, he attended the US Army Airborne School and was awarded his Basic Airborne Parachutist badge.  In 1997 he attended and graduated from Primary Leadership Development Course in Camp Ashland, Nebraska.

In 2002, He was activated in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, which resulted in a 6-month deployment under Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 226th Engineer Company as a 51B Carpentry/Masonry.  In 2004, he was once again activated to Federal service in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III with Alpha Company, 891st Engineer Battalion as a Combat Engineer performing Route Clearance missions for all of 2005.  After returning, he completed Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course in 2008 before his last combat deployment in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, with the 287th Sustainment Brigade as the Brigade Engineer Non-Commissioned Officer-In-Charge (NCOIC).  In 2010, he completed his Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course; and in 2011, he completed the First Sergeant Course at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  He is a graduate of the Engineer Pre-Command Course.  He is also a United States Army Sergeants Major Academy graduate and is a Level II Master Resilience Trainer for the Kansas Army National Guard.  He had most recently been assigned to Salina, KS, as the Garrison Command Sergeant Major for the Kansas Training Center since 2019 prior to his most current assignment as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major at the 1-108th Aviation Regiment.

Command Sergeant Major Worley is married to Kimberly Worley of Topeka, Kansas.  They have three daughters, Mackenly (Benjamin Snow), Elly, Molly, and two grandchildren, Wesley and Amelia.
